  1. SiliconExpressIV Updater README

  3. The SiliconExpressIV Updater application is a utility provided to
  4. insure that your SiliconExpressIV has the latest firmware (as
  5. indicated by the revision number of the application).  THIS
  6. APPLICATION NEED NOT BE RUN after you install your
  7. SiliconExpressIV - it is provided solely for your convenience.
  8. Simply double click the SiliconExpressIV Updater program to
  9. update the firmware on your SiliconExpressIV.  If your
  10. SiliconExpressIV has an earlier firmware version, the
  11. SiliconExpressIV Updater will automatically update the
  12. SiliconExpressIV.  If your SiliconExpressIV firmware is
  13. up-to-date, a prompt will appear asking you whether you want
  14. to update the firmware or not.  Type in 'Y' to manually update
  15. the firmware or 'N' to abort the update.

  17. To force the SiliconExpressIV Updater to update firmware to a
  18. user-specified slot, double click the SiliconExpressIV Updater
  19. program and, within one second of the double clicking (but not simultaneously!!!), hold down the SHIFT key.  The SiliconExpressIV
  20. Updater will prompt you to enter the hexadecimal value of the slot
  21. number you wish to update.  Type in the number to force an update
  22. of the desired slot.
